Smart Move awards first outing in Italy

     

22 June 2012 - At a ceremony organised in the prestigious Residenza di Ripetta in Rome, on 21 June, 30 Italian bus and coach companies received the newly launched ANAV Smart Move Award, for innovation and excellence in coach tourism, regular long distance services, and local public transport.

 

The three finalists in the category “coach tourism” were MAZZONE TURISMO SAS, FRATELLI SCIONTI SNC, and LA VALLE TRASPORTI SRL, with the Premium Award going to Mazzone Tourismo SAS for their “innovative logistics services that have become an efficient communication channel” in incoming tourism in the city of Benevento.

 

In the category “regular long distance services”, the three finalists were BALTOUR SRL, BASCHETTI AUTOSERVIZI SRL, and ROMANO AUTOLINEE  SPA, with the Premium Prize going to Romano Autolinee Spa for its project Terminal Romano di Crotone, which was praised as a  “solution, that brings together all aspects of mobility, whilst linking them with the needs and requirements of the customer and territorial planning”.

The three finalists of the category “local public transport” were BUCCI F.LLI, from Pesaro Urbino,  DI FONZO DONATO & F.LLI SPA, from Chieti, and the company S.A.F. SPA F.V.G. from Udine, Friuli, Venice. The Premium Prize went to the project “Easymobility” of the company S.A.F., for their ambitious “search of innovation, to accommodate a future-looking and even greener, more sustainable and better organised transport services”.

 

The Special Prize of the Jury went to the SABike project of the company SAB, part of the TPL from Bergamo, integrating public transport and cycling/biking.
