Long-distance buses join forces with German taxis for better customer service

19 November 2013 - German taxi organisation BZP and providers of long-distance bus services, ADAC Postbus have signed an agreement to provide onward travel for customers in case of exceptional events that result in a disruption of service.

"We want our passengers to quickly and safely reach their destination. The agreement we have signed means that, when confronted by exceptional events, for example a technical failure in one of our buses, we can ensure the mobility of our passengers through the short-term use of taxis", outlined Heiko Seidel, Head of Operations of the ADAC Postbus.

"We look forward to this cooperation, it provides us with an opportunity to use our services in difficult situations and bring passengers to their desired location." said Michael Mueller, President of the German Taxi and Car Rental Association, BZP.

In case of travel disruption, passengers’ bus tickets will remain valid for the completion of their journey.
