Save CO2 emissions: travel by coach!

Studies and emissions calculators show that if you take the coach instead of using your car, you are contributing to making a significant reduction in the CO2 emissions causing the greenhouse effect and protecting the environment from climate change.

A study published by the American Union of Concerned Scientists, Getting There Greener, The Guide to Your Lower-Carbon Vacation, which has found that when travelling by bus or coach – on long and short distance alike, be it on your own, with a fellow traveler or a family of four –your carbon footprint is the smallest of all transport modes, as revealed by its Green Vacation Traveler Carbon Guide.

Also in the UK, the bus company “National Express” has developed a carbon emissions calculator that compares emissions by coach and car. So, before you plan your summer holiday, find out how many kilogrammes of CO2 you can save by using the coach!
