Oleg Kamberski, who leads IRU’s work in passenger transport, highlighted innovative technology, services, and legislation, as three concrete ways to achieve the Smart Move objective of doubling the use of buses and coaches.

IRU’s competence in road safety training was also showcased at the event, which was organised by IRU, Busworld Academy and a local partner in Beijing, under the umbrella of the larger-scale 2016 China Transpo conference organised by the Chinese Ministry of Transport, which attracted over 1,000 transport stakeholders  from China and abroad.

IRU notably met with its Chinese member, the China Road Transport Association, as well as the China Academy of Transportation Sciences, and Yutong, one of the world’s biggest bus and coach manufacturers, to exchanges ideas on Smart Move and other related industry issues.
