21 May 2013 - Eurolines has added two cities to its services in France, ahead of deregulation of the French market. As regular bus lines between two French cities are not possible for services based in France the extra stops in Paris and Lyon have been included in the Amsterdam – Marseille service, operated as international cabotage. The new connections started operating four times a week, but have since expanded to daily offerings.
The Eurolines service adds to a growing market in France with the full price for an adult costing only USD 50 for a trip from Paris to Marseille and from USD 25 for Paris-Lyon-Marseille or Lyon. Young people and seniors receive a discount of 10%, and children 40% to 80% depending on their age. All-in-all, coach travel offers an excellent and attractive price when compared to travel by TGV, which can cost up to USD 110.
