Football fans took the bus

Fans who watched the 2010 FIFA World Cup™ matches in Johannesburg were assured of a safe and reliable transport system to the Soccer City and Ellis Park, by making use of the Rea Vaya Bus Rapid System. The construction of the Rea Vaya Bus Rapid Transit system has been the most ambitious project ever undertaken by the City of Johannesburg. Some 16 000 people were transported in 70 buses to and from the stadiums daily over the first World Cup weekend.
