Bus and bicycle: the perfect mobility duo

French bus company Kar'ouest, located on France's Reunion island, offers free bicycle transport to passengers as a new service to promote green mobility.

03 September 2013 - Starting October, bus passengers will be able to bring their bicycles with them for free on special Kar’ouest buses equipped with a bicycle rack.

This new service, available on designated lines until the end of the year, will allow cyclists to visit the city centre by bicycle and take the bus for longer distances or through areas poorly equipped with bicycle lanes. More lines will become available in the first semester of 2014 to complement this new service.

As an innovative multimodal bus/bicycle combination, this green mobility trend will without a doubt attract new bus users.

For more information on bus lines offering this new service, visit the Kar'ouest website (in French only)
