A significant number of travelers are willing to take the coach, study shows

A study carried out recently by ICB in Belgium shows that a considerable number of people are willing to travel by coach if certain criteria are met.

The price plays naturally a very important role in helping choosing the coach over another mode of transport. However, the importance of the price decreases with the duration of the trip. For longer trips the price gets less important while more attention is paid to the quality of services. The study also shows that coaches are more popular for trips between two and five hours, faster options being considered for shorter and longer journeys.

Other elements and services like having comfortable seats with enough space for legs, on-board catering, and the availability of wifi or of a socket are appreciated differently depending on the various groups of passengers and on the type of trip.

Wifi is for instance highly appreciated by professional travelers but it has no interest for elder ones while older generations and frequent travelers are more attracted and thus more likely to pay for luxury seats.
